Z Team Films is an award-winning, Los Angeles-based film production company, specialized in making mind-blowing action-based content targeting mainstream audiences. It all began 20 years ago in the mountains of Shaolin and the urban sprawl of Beijing, where our four founding members forged a lasting bond. Years later, their dedication to martial arts and passion for filmmaking had them relocated across the world, in Los Angeles, where they founded the company. With over 20 years of filmmaking and stunt-industry experience, our team delivers a comprehensive approach to all stages of film production, with everything from development to action design to directing to post-production.

LOHAN BUSON

OWNER / PRODUCER / ACTION DIRECTOR / VFX ARTIST

Born in Paris, France, Lohan lived and trained in China for 10 years notably at the Shaolin monastery and earned his degree in Chinese martial arts "Wushu" from the Beijing Sport University.

During his time in China, Lohan founded the Z Team, a martial arts/action stunt team; worked on various movies such as Silver Hawk, starring Michelle Yeoh and in 2008 was handpicked by lauded action director Gareth Evans (The Raid: Redemption) for a supporting role in Merantau, going hand-to-hand against action star Iko Uwais (Mile 22, The Raid: Redemption, Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

In 2009, Lohan co-founded Z Team Films, LLC, a Los Angeles based Production Company and eventually relocated to the US where he produced and co-starred in the company’s award-winning action/martial arts feature film Die Fighting, for which he received the "Breakout Action Star of the Year" award at the 2014 Action on Film International Film Festival. The movie is distributed in North America on all the major streaming platforms by Gravitas Ventures and on DVD/Blu-ray by MVD Entertainment Group; is represented Internationally by Lighthouse Pictures.

In 2013, Lohan started working as an action director and fight choreography instructor for Creative Action Development, the stunt branch of the Academy of Movement Arts and Science.

That same year, Lohan joined the Hollywood Film Academy® as its COO and as a producer for its parent company Helix Films. He co-produced, second unit directed and edited the academy's latest feature film My Husband's Wife (aka TOKAL) starring Gia Noortas and Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga). The film was one of the frontrunners for the best foreign language category at the 75th Golden Globe Awards.

In 2015 and 2017, Lohan action directed the web series "Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope" which went viral reaching more than 32 million views on YouTube.

Lohan is also a VFX artist and VFX supervisor and has done work for action director Peng Zhang (Kingsman, Kick-Ass), YouTube stars Bart Baker, Peter Shukoff (Epic Rap Battles) as well as director Jessy Terrero, and hip-hop artist Jeezy…

FABIEN GARCIA

OWNER / PRODUCER / DIRECTOR / ACTION DIRECTOR

French native, Fabien was barely a teenager when he started martial arts. He wanted to train with the best, so he relocated to China where he trained for 10 years, notably at the famed Shaolin monastery and earned his degree in Chinese martial arts from the Beijing Sport University.

In 2003, while in China, Fabien co-founded the Z Team, a martial arts/action stunt team. He directed and co-starred in the team’s first production, the acclaimed martial arts short film "Duel" for which he was awarded "Male Action Performer of the Year" at the 2007 Action on Film International Film Festival.

In 2009, Fabien relocated to the US, where he co-founded Z Team Films, LLC, his LA based production company. He went on directing and starring in his feature film debut "Die Fighting". The movie was unanimously praised by the press as being "some of the best martial arts action that can easily stand right up there with films like The Raid or Ip Man." - Examiner.com. The film also received The Action Elite Awards 2014 for "Best Action Movie Director" and "Best Fight Scene of the Year" as well as the "Best Fight Choreography" award at the 2014 Action on Film International Film Festival.

A year later, Fabien created and directed Drained World, winner of "Best Web Series" at the 2015 WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival.

In 2016 and 2017, Fabien spearheaded the development of the cinematics for Tri-Crystal Studios, Inc’s video game project "Reborn" to be released on the next-generation of gaming consoles and PC. He also co-choreographed episodes 2 & 3 of the viral web series "Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope".

CHRISTINE GORCHON

PRODUCER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Christine Jose Gorchon worked at Overbrook Entertainment, the production company started by the multiple Academy and Golden Globe Awards nominee Will Smith, James Lassiter and Jada Pinkett Smith, who produced blockbuster films such as "I am Legend", "Seven Pounds", "The Pursuit of Happiness", "The Karate Kid".

Christine has performed a variety of roles in production and project development for Overbrook. She recently worked on Sprinter, the latest movie produced by James Lassiter and on a confidential project in development including Will Smith and Brad Pitt. Additionally, Christine is a Certified Professional in HR and got her certificate in Business of Entertainment at UCLA. She also worked with the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation.
